Jed was full of energy last night, despite playing for 1.5hrs with 14 other children and Papa in the church toddler-room during evening worship. He had so much energy, that an hour after his bed time, he was found talking in the middle of his dark bedroom. He now knows he can move beyond his bed at night. Uh oh.
I've been known on occassion to holler out, "Tanya", while in need of help at home. I think someone else has caught on. Lately, when Jed doesn't hear a response to, "Mama!", he moves on to trying, "Hawnee!". I'm not sure how he arrived at that pronunciation, but based on his expression, he fully believes it should work.
Peter loves to smile. Get 8 inches from his face exuding happiness, and immediately he'll join in vocally and emotionally. He always seems to be so content and so interested in surveying his environment.
Bueni is constantly "positively reinforced" to look to Jed as her primary source for treats. As Papa briefly stepped away the other day while feeding the dog, Jed stepped in to ensure she received a second, and third (and maybe more?) helping of "din din". When Papa returned, Bueni was still chowing, nose buried in her dish, Jed holding the measuring cup with a smile. Whether it's "not-so-subtle" food projectiles during meal time or leftovers on his shirt, Bueni knows Jed is a friend with resources.
