Jed in progress

Jed's favorite sign is "hot" (or "haaa" as he likes to say it). Like a traffic cop, he holds his hand up as if to say, "stop". We taught him "hot" to help him understand not to touch the oven/stove area, but he likes use it as means to demonstrate his caution (around everything).

For Christmas he received a red tractor to sit upon and push himself forward with his feet around the house. His feet do not yet touch the ground when saddled. Despite his short stature, if he's able to climb on to it, he'll lean to right so that his right foot can touch the floor and with his left foot in the air he'll push forward with his right foot. He laughs everytime he makes progress, which is usually about 2inches at a time.

One of the highlights of my week days is driving into the garage after work. The doggie door from the kitchen leads right to the passenger side car door, from which the driver can see into the kitchen. Without fail, when Jed hears the garage door open, he hurries to the doogie door and on all fours pokes his head out of the doggie door to welcome me home.

I think this is one of your best posts. Don't get me wrong, I love the photos and funny little incidents, but these are very touching.

Thanks!
