Ultrasound
We went in for Tanya's ultrasound today and were thankful to hear that all looks healthy and the baby has a strong heart beat. Although we want to be surprised, when asked, "can you tell the gender?" the technician confidently said, "oh yes!" and then further explained that both male and female "indicators" can be identified at this stage in most baby's development. Humm... reading into her response I think she must have seen the "Dodge endowment".
Morning rays of Jed
Jed's usual morning rise occurs around 5:45am. He stands in his crib, in his "sleeping bag", and either declares his new state of awareness or begins and a lengthy chatter with the parrot across the room. Next, we bring him into our bed with us while he continues his storytelling and we try to get a few more winks. Despite the early hour, I'm going to miss those moments.
Observant Jed
This weekend we went on a walk in the park with some friends. As we walked, an approaching pooch caught Bueni's attention and they introduced themselves, as dogs do, with a "sniffing inquiry". Jed noticed their opposing postures and strange "dog handshake" and curiously leaned in, nose first, for his own inspection. His displeased expression indicated he regretted the introduction.

Movie: Great Gramma time
Great Gramma is celebrating her 87th birthday in a week and we're all so proud of her! Jed thought it would be a good idea to put GG to the test and see how many times he could run over her lap while on the couch, but in the end GG informed Jed that she's had 3 boys before and was ready for anything he could throw her way. That's when he got of the couch and said, "down".
